Trae Edwards started singing at the age of 5 at a PTA meeting in Oxford, Alabama. As Trae tells it, his mama lifted him up on a table, handed him a fake mike, and a lifelong passion was born.
Within two years, Trae was performing onstage with the legendary gospel singer Sammy Hall. Trae sang in church and school — for anyone who would listen to his humble country and gospel renditions. After graduating from high school in Oxford, he was awarded a vocal scholarship to Jacksonville State University in Alabama.
Fast forward to his 20s and a long career in Nashville as a session singer after winning the Male Vocalist Competition in “Charlie Daniels Country Talent Round-Up.” Over the years, Trae has performed at Nashville’s legendary Ryman with Naomi and Wynonna Judd, and Alison Krauss … and alongside many artists as diverse as Trace Adkins and Michael English. Trae also appeared in several of the Gaithers’ Homecoming Series videos.
He releases his brand new single, title: Love Got Us Through.
