You’ve been praying, believing, confessing the word, giving, serving and waiting…a really, really long time for God to manifest His promises in your life.
You may be wearing a brave face, but inwardly, doubt is creeping up. Discouragement is knocking at the door of your heart. And you’re wondering, God, when is my harvest coming?
Your harvest is the reward you expect to reap for the seeds of faith you have sown through righteous living, endurance and giving your entire life to the work of the Lord.
And that expectation is biblically-backed through Galatians 6:9 NIV, which says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
The word of God assures you that you will reap.
Nevertheless, even though you believe something good is on the way, treading life’s rockiest ground as you journey toward your place of destiny, isn’t easy. You cry out inwardly for relief. The words of Psalm 13:2 NIV have become the cry of your heart.
This passage says, “How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?”
How long?
That's the million dollar question, right?
The truth is, we don't know. No one can determine how long you’ll have to struggle and wrestle with your current issues. Only God knows.
But in the meantime, you may not be able to control what life brings, but you can (and must!) arm yourself with the word of God.
So here are 6 key verses you need to read and meditate on as you wait on God to come through for you. And He will come through.

So here are 6 key verses you need to read and meditate on as you wait on God to come through for you. And He will come through.
Psalm 130:5 NIV – “I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.” As you wait, don’t lose your hope in His righteous and unfailing word. God is faithful. If you lose your hope, there is no way you can maintain your faith stance, so hang in there.
Hebrews 11:1 NIV – “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Stormy winds may shake the branches of a tree, but if its roots run deep, it will withstand the fierce assault. Let your faith be deeply rooted in Christ, so you can hold fast to the promises of God even when you cannot see your way forward.
Jeremiah 1:12 NASB – “Then the LORD said to me, ‘You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.’" You may feel overlooked and forgotten in the waiting process, but nothing could be further from the truth! This Bible passage reminds you that God, who never sleeps or slumbers, watches over His word and will see to it personally that it is fulfilled. You can count on Him.
Isaiah 38:7 NIV - "'This is the LORD's sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised:” As you’re in the wait, keep your eyes open for signs and confirmation. Even before what He said shows up in your life, the Lord has a way of sending you reminders that your blessing and breakthrough is on the way. Be aware of His handiwork in both big and small ways.
2 Peter 3:9 NIV – “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness…” While the context of this verse is dealing with the second coming of Christ, it still reminds us of a powerful principle: God is not slow. He's purposeful. As the old saying goes, “He may not come when you want Him, but He’s right on time.” God is never late. He never misses a deadline. So even though your turnaround may seem slow coming, remember that His ways are not like ours (Isaiah 55:8)—and neither is His timetable. If it seems to be taking too long, know that there is a special reason why. That's where trust comes into play.
Isaiah 40:31 NASB – “Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.” Waiting isn’t easy, nor is it fun, but it is necessary. It’s also beneficial. It will strengthen you and help you soar. Stand firm, friend. This, too, will pass. And when it does, you’ll be better, stronger and more fruitful.
