Having a Hard Time Waiting on God? Here Are Five (5) Scriptures For Seasons Requiring Patience || ReadFor Free

When you’re pushing for a dream that just won’t come true, or dealing with an unpleasant
circumstance, it can be hard to wait on the Lord to work it out.

If you are on the brink of taking things into your own hands, or feel like giving up, here are Five (5) scriptures you need to read to encourage you in your waiting place.

Romans 12:12 (NIV)- “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” I know it’s
tough, but the Lord has not given you more than you can bear. Patiently endure the difficult
times and difficult people in your life, and take comfort in the hope that God will see you
through this.

Habakkuk 2:3 (NIV)- “For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and
will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”
Whatever God has promised you, be it the fulfillment of a dream or deliverance from
suffering, trust that it is on its way. It may be a longtime coming, but know that there is a
blessing in store for you if you can just endure the wait. Remember, the Israelites didn’t reach
the Promised Land in a day.

Ecclesiastes 7:8 (ESV)- “… The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” Don’t be
in such a rush to achieve your goals that you trick yourself into believing you can produce a
better final result than God. You may end up in a situation you are not ready to handle, or
dig yourself into a deeper hole than you’re already in.

Psalm 130:5 (NKJV)- “I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope.”
Remember the promise the Lord gave you, and wait patiently for Him to fulfill this promise.
God never goes back on His word, so trust and believe that your breakthrough is at hand.

Psalm 27:14 (ESV)- “Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for
the LORD!” This one scripture sums up the previous 4 points. Wait on the Lord, and trust in
His timing.

Know that at the right time, the Lord will bring your vision to pass, and deliver you from the rut you’ve been stuck in. He may not do it on when you want Him to, but He will do it when the time is right.
