Whether your father has passed away, never been in your life at all, or has been absent lately, when Father’s Day rolls around and the man who helped give you life isn’t there, it can be hard.

In a sentimental Instagram post, Gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard tributes her late father, Bishop Fritz Cobbs, in a simple, but touching post.

 “Like it was yesterday…” she wrote, only adding, “Miss you daddy.”

Bishop Cobbs transitioned to his Heavenly home on the heels of his daughter’s exciting triple win at the 2014 Stellar Awards—something she said drew her closer to the Lord. She is now telling others who may be struggling with hurt and difficult situations to lean on God.

“I would tell anyone who is in a low place, run to Him because sometimes people don’t have the words to encourage you. But there’s a peace that you’ll find in the presence of God that you’ll find nowhere else,” Cobbs Leonard told Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts.

She sat down for a chat recently with Roberts on “Dressing Room Reveal” about her new album, Heart. Passion. Pursuit, and also performed a gospel medley.

Kirk Franklin's Troubled Sister Sentenced to Prison for 30 Years After Serving 10-Year Drug Sentence

Gospel music star Kirk Franklin revealed on Sunday that his troubled younger sister, who previously served 10 years in prison on a drug related conviction, was recently sentenced to serve another 30 years in prison for an unspecified charge.

"My sister was just sentenced to 30 years in prison...I now feel the weight of wondering if I could have done more," Franklin said in a statement Sunday to which he added "rough week."

There is not much information available on Franklin's unidentified sister. However, the gospel star previously shared in 2015 that she struggled with drug addiction.

"For over ten years, my younger sister was incarcerated in a facility here in Texas. She was in love with a young man who was [a] drug dealer," Franklin explained at the time. "He introduced her to not only selling drugs, but using as well. When he was arrested for drug trafficking, she was arrested along with him. After she served her time, she was brought before the review board who determined she was ready to be released and brought back into society. The documents were signed and she was set free... but only on paper."

A few months after she was released from prison, Franklin said his sister relapsed.

"After a few months back into the free world, it became obvious to me rather quickly that my sister was still in prison. It's what they call being institutionalized. She quickly started using again, becoming very reckless with her body, which turned into her using it as a means to pay for her habit," he explained.

Two Fridays ago on June 8, the day Anthony Bourdain, host of CNN's award-winning series "Parts Unknown," was confirmed dead in an apparent suicide, and just days after another high-profile suicide involving iconic fashion designer Kate Spade, Franklin hinted at his own family's struggle with mental health.

"We've had two individuals, high profile people that committed suicide this week, in one week. And even though I didn't know them that can be very traumatic and I wanted to be very honest with you to maybe help someone. I personally know what it is to have a family member with either issues with depression or mental illness and we're still going through it as a family," he said before urging his fans to "Get help."

He further noted that the church should not discount the need for a professional to deal with mental health struggles.

"In the church sometimes you think you can just shout everything away or speak in tongues everything away or sometimes drink and smoke everything away but you can't. This is real. It's a disease. And you've got to treat it like a disease. God is faithful but faith without works is dead, so you've gotta put in the work. You're too important. You're too valuable. We need you," he said.

The gorgeous chubby-cheeked baby was born February, 12, 2018 and is clearly the apple of his mother’s eye.

The former high-school track star, who plays both piano and clarinet, is multi-faceted, multi-talented and a multi-tasker. As any new mom knows, taking care of a newborn while working isn’t easy, but Rhea takes it all in stride.

In an emotional Instagram post, the songstress captioned a baby video, “hate leaving him to work,” with a crying emoji. While it isn't easy, day by day, Rhea is making it happen.

TV One is gearing up for the premiere of "We're the Campbells," a new reality series featuring one half of the gospel group Mary Mary, Erica Campbell, her husband, world-renowned music producer/pastor Warryn Campbell, their children and extended family. The series will show the realities of parenting in this day and age, how they work to keep their love strong after infidelity and more.

"We're the Campbells," which begins June 19, is a nine-episode docu-series that will give viewers an intimate glimpse into the lives of the Gospel entertainment power couple and their three children Warryn, Zaya and teenager Krista.

Campbell, who has been on reality TV before with her sister Tina, said that in this new show, viewers can expect to see a "real family," a couple raising kids, trying to stay in love, and managing music, church and their careers.

"I know a lot of times you actually don't see the kids and the issues, but we're really tapping into what happens with kids — feeling accepted, colorism, self–acceptance — all the while trying to manage our faith, our family," the Grammy Award-winning songstress told The Christian Post.

"I love my relationship with my kids and we know that it mirrors a lot of other people's relationships. A lot of other parents are trying to figure out how to deal with these things. We've been given a platform and a voice of influence and that's a blessing, so it allows us the opportunity to share our experience with other families giving them something to watch together."

Campbell said families usually have programs that the adults watch separately from their children and vise versa but "We're the Campbells" is a show that the entire family can enjoy together.

"Not only is it answering life questions, cultural questions but it gives them something to do together," she added.

When asked about the pressure they face while parenting in the public eye in their upcoming series, Campbell said they do not worry about being politically correct. They tackle racism, self-acceptance, bullies and how to respond and "rise above."

"Truth does sting but when truth is wrapped in love, you can always at least listen to it. And it makes it open for conversation when the truth doesn't come with judgment or condemnation. I tell my kids all the time we can discuss anything, I can always deal with the truth but I could never deal with a lie. So we deal in truth and hopefully, people can see and understand and respect that."

In a clip that aired on the Own Network's "Black Love" in September 2017, Campbell and her husband opened up about a time when his "selfish behavior" led him to cheat on his wife. Warryn is an award-winning music producer for some of today's most influential artists, a pastor of the California Worship Center and founder of the record label My Block Inc. The couple managed to get past that hard season of their marriage and the singer revealed that their new show will show how their bond is now better than ever.

"I hope that viewers see real love, communication, honesty, growing past and even falling deeply in love of each other because of a different level of honesty," Campbell said of her marriage. "None of it can happen without forgiveness and because we are believers I have to lean on how would Jesus handle it."

"Am I adhering to what I ask God to forgive me for? That's what love is supposed to do. Even in a relationship, it's sometimes the last thing we want to do. But I can't feel justified as a believer asking God to give me something that I'm not willing to give. So I'm hoping that's what they see," she added.

The happy couple no longer live their lives in the past because they hold to the Bible verse found in 2 Timothy 1:7, which says fear does not come from God.

"I pay attention to who we are now and not who we were then," Campbell declared. "Anytime you look in the rear view mirror it will distract you from the big window that's ahead of you, so I try not to look at what's behind me. We look forward, we hope forward, we love forward we, and live forward."

Reality TV shows can show people in both a positive and negative light. Nevertheless, Campbell said she and her family want people to see their full testimony.

"We don't serve God or people by pretending like nothing is ever wrong. If anything, God gets the glory when we say, 'I was at the lowest of the low, the broken of the broken and God put the pieces back together,'" the entertainer testified.

"At the same time, I'm not held hostage to what anybody thinks because none of those people will be standing there when I stand before God. They didn't put me in this position, God did! They didn't open these doors, God did!" she exclaimed. "Now, yes, we are in a position of servitude and we serve people so you must be wise, but it's more about my reflection of God, not what people think. The worst thing you can do as believers is be afraid of people."

The nationally-syndicated radio host explained what she hopes viewers will take away from watching the series.

"I hope they see that we are not just an exception but that we are a reflection of what family is," Campbell stated. "Because I know that we're not the only good family, not a perfect family, but good family and there are a lot of them out there. So I hope that we are really a reflection of the possibility of what family is.

"TV does not show a good reflection of marriage and relationship. We hope to counter that, kids growing up and teaching them life lessons and going through the tough stuff. We want them to understand that all things are possible to them that believe. We have to be a reflection of that to show people to love family and be bold about their faith in a loving, fruitful way, in the way of Jesus."

Campbell said from here on out she will be focusing on the series, her family, serving as first lady of the family church, as well as her new book, which will promote her hair extension and wig collection.

Gospel Singer, Kirk Franklin Commends ABC for 'Roseanne' Cancellation, Says He Will Pray for Her Heart.

Well-known gospel singer Kirk Franklin says he's praying for Roseanne Barr after she made a racist comment on Twitter that resulted in ABC canceling her hit TV sitcom.

Barr caused widespread outrage on Memorial Day after she posted a Tweet about Valerie Jarrett, a bi-racial adviser to former President Barack Obama, calling her an ape. In the now-deleted message, Barr wrote that Jarrett is the product of the "Muslim Brotherhood and 'Planet of the Apes'."

Her offensive remark led Walt Disney's network ABC to cancel their No. 1 show, a revival of the "Roseanne" sitcom.

"I am proud of ABC for standing up against racism by canceling 'Roseanne' in light of her racist tweets," Franklin wrote on an Instagram post. "But will still pray that her heart is changed by this moment."

The "Imagine Me" singer capped off his post with the phrase, "People over money," celebrating ABC's choice to stand up against racism despite the financial loss due to the cancellation.

Barr blamed her late night insult on the sleep aid Ambien and has since issued an official apology:
"I deeply regret my comments from late last night on Twitter. Above all, I want to apologize to Valerie Jarrett, as well as to ABC and the cast and crew of the 'Roseanne' show. I am sorry for making a thoughtless joke that does not reflect my values — I love all people and am very sorry. Today my words caused hundreds of hardworking people to lose their jobs. I also sincerely apologize to the audience that has embraced my work for decades. I apologize from the bottom of my heart and hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me."

Later, Barr took to Twitter  to agree with her critics and reign in those who are defending her.

"Hey guys, don't defend me, it's sweet of you 2 try, but ... losing my show is 0 compared 2 being labeled a racist over one tweet that I regret even more," she wrote. In a separate tweet, she added: "Guys I did something unforgivable so do not defend me. It was 2 in the morning and I was Ambien tweeting — it was Memorial Day too — I went 2 far and do not want it defended. It was egregious. Indefensible. I made a mistake. I wish I hadn't but ... don't defend it please."

Ed Sheeran Slams Pro-Life Group for Using His Song to Defend Saving Babies From Abortion in Ireland.

Singer Ed Sheeran is speaking out against a pro-life campaign that's been using his song "Small Bump" to support Ireland's Eighth Amendment that protects the unborn, saying that their cause "does not reflect what the song is about."

Irish citizens will vote Friday on whether the country will repeal the Eighth Amendment of the constitution, which states: "The State acknowledges the right to life of the unborn and, with due regard to the equal right to life of the mother, guarantees in its laws to respect, and, as far as practicable, by its laws to defend and vindicate that right."

If repealed, women would be able to access abortions up to 12 weeks. Abortions up to 23 weeks could be performed in "exceptional circumstances," according to Simon Harris, the country's health minister, or amid concerns for the mother's mental health, such as the risk of suicide.

Ed Sheeran's song "Small Bump" was being played in Dublin's city center by pro-life activists campaigning against abortion. The singer subsequently decided to distance himself from the campaign, which has been using his song, by stating that "it does not reflect what the song is about."

The song lyrics read: "You're just a small bump unknown, you'll grow into your skin/With a smile like hers and a dimple beneath your chin/Finger nails the size of a half grain of rice, and eyelids closed to be soon opened wide/ A small bump, in four months you'll open your eyes."

On Instagram, Sheeran, who is on tour in Ireland, addressed the anti-abortion campaign by saying: "I've been informed that my song 'Small Bump' is being used to promote the pro-life campaign, and I feel it's important to let you know I have not given approval for this use, and it does not reflect what the song is about."

Some fans backed up the musician, saying online that the song, released in 2011 from his debut album, + , was about his friend who experienced a devastating miscarriage. Pro-lifers were quick to note that his lyrical content is clearly portraying unborn children as living humans.

Abortion is only legal in Ireland in medical emergencies or if three doctors agree that a mother is at risk of suicide. It also isn't legal in cases of rape, incest or fetal abnormalities. Currently, women are allowed to travel out of the country to seek an abortion elsewhere, such as England. 

Thomas Finegan, a lecturer in theology at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick, Ireland, noted in an op-ed for The U.K. Sunday Times that abortions performed for mental health reasons "account for 97 percent of the almost 190,000 abortions per year in the U.K."

The U.K. Spectator reports that if the amendment is repealed, it "would bring Ireland in line with Britain in terms of abortion law, and in some respects go further."

"Under legislative proposals framed by the Fine Gael-led government, there would be abortion, as in Britain, up to viability (around 23 weeks) if two doctors say the pregnancy would harm the mental or physical health of the woman," the Spectator adds. ... "It also appears to allow for abortion on the basis of disability. But unlike Britain, there would be access to abortion without the formality of doctors' signatures up to 12 weeks, with 72 hours for reflection."

According to a report in the U.K. Sunday Times on Thursday, "If the Eighth Amendment is repealed on May 25 abortion will still be illegal. A new amendment, the 36th, stating that the Irish parliament has the power to set abortion law, would be added to the constitution instead."

Grammy-nominated Christian singer Jamie Grace had the wedding of her dreams last month but managed to fly under the radar until now.

The young YouTube star has shared her stunning wedding photos exclusively with People magazine.

Grace, who has been battling Tourette's syndrome since she was 11, has defied the odds time and again.  She was wed at North Metro Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia, on April 14 to Atlanta-native, model and actor, Aaron Collins.

"I was more giddy than anything," the singer told People magazine of how she felt when reciting traditional vows.

The couple invited 1,500 friends, family and fans to the wedding. The church was filled to capacity with standing room only while an additional 1,000 were on a waiting list to get in since the singer opened her wedding invitation to the public.

"I was genuinely surrounded by every person who could calm any possible nerves," Grace revealed. "It was an absolute fairytale wedding and I almost couldn't believe it was happening."

The California native wore a custom-made gown by designer Johana Hernandez that featured a 14-foot train.

"Aaron is, by far, the most amazing man I have ever met," she gushed about her husband.

Her declaration of love comes after years of dating struggles.

"I always felt like I was kind of in a limbo when it came to dating and telling guys that I had Tourette's because it wasn't something life-threatening, and it wasn't something that I, in a dating relationship, really needed them to do anything," she told Essence in March.

The former Gotee artist-turned-indie announced that she was engaged to Collins in January after courting for two months.

The singer posted a photo of herself and her beau posing together and sported the engagement ring.

"I SAID YES!" she exclaimed on Instagram.

"We met a little over a year ago. Then, my 26th birthday was the loveliest yet. It was the start of what feels like an old-fashioned courtship from a beautiful book, movie or song I couldn't compose even if I tried," Grace explained.

"Everything about Aaron is a reminder of how good God is and how faithful He is to fulfill His promises for those who wait. I've been so overwhelmed with God's joy and peace. ... I've been giggling nonstop since he asked," she added.

Grace was discovered by TobyMac in 2010 and has had a very successful career to date. Despite having Tourette's syndrome she was determined to make her dreams come true and the Dove Award-winning songwriter, musician and actress is an inspiration to many.

She has helped encourage others around the world by founding ImAFighter.org and the Jamie Grace Foundation, both which provide resources and content to help children and families who are coping with severe illnesses and disorders.

GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, CeCe Winans, is gracing ears and uplifting hearts on a new single, “Beautifully Broken,” the title cut from the soundtrack of the film of the same name.

Beautifully Broken the movie, which releases theatrically Aug. 24, chronicles a refugee’s escape, a prisoner’s promise, and a daughter’s painful secret that all blend to create a powerful story of hope.

“Even a million scars doesn’t change who you are,” belts Winans, 53, reminding us all that our lives, though marred with painful memories, mistakes and hardships, is still a beautiful tapestry because we belong to God.

In the film, set to play in 600 theatres, three fathers in various situations fight to save their families when God divinely orchestrates the intertwining of their lives across the globe. Each learns the healing power of forgiveness and reconciliation.

“I know a lot of broken people will be healed through this song and that inspires me,” Winans said. “Once I heard it, I felt it had a powerful message so I was honored to record it.”

“Beautifully Broken” was released through Pure Springs Gospel/D3 Music Group and was produced by Winans’ GRAMMY® Award-winning son Alvin Love III and Warryn Campbell, and co-produced by Rodney Jones Jr., and Clyde Duffie.

The Beautifully Broken cast includes Scott William Winters (Lethal Weapon, Good Will Hunting), Benjamin Onyango (God’s Not Dead, Inception), Emily Hahn (Toy Story 3, Fresh Off The Boat), Eric Roberts, Jessica Obilom (Trafficked), Caitlin Nicol-Thomas (Nashville), Alan Powell(Quantico), Eugene Khumbanyiwa (District 9), Tammi Arender (Pitch Perfect 2), and television personality Thomasina “Goo Goo” Atkins (Mary Mary). Kanye West Challenges TMZ's Harvey Levin on God: 'God Calls Us to Love Everyone'.

Rapper and fashion guru Kanye West has been causing a stir in the media with his recent tweets and TMZ interview Tuesday morning in which the self-professed free thinker also talked about God, saying that although people might not always agree with each other, God calls us to love one another.

West, who claims to be on a mission to cultivate freedom of thought and expression, was seen last week sporting a "Make America Great Again" hat as a way to provoke people into supporting free thought. West said he likes President Donald Trump and what he's doing for America.

Although West and his wife, Kim Kardashian-West, seemed to support Hillary Clinton in her bid for president by attending one of her campaign fundraisers in Los Angeles in 2015 and posting a photo with the candidate, West admits that he is uninformed about his policies.

In his interview with TMZ earlier this week, West, admittedly medicated, citied slavery, the Holocaust and prison system as he attempted to make an analogy about mental enslavement.

"When you hear about slavery for 400 years — for 400 years? That sounds like a choice. Like, you were there for 400 years and it's all you all?"

He added, "We're mentally imprisoned."

West also referred to Trump as "my boy" and said the president was "one of rap's favorite people" and frequently name-dropped in rap lyrics before he decided to run for president as a Republican.

After many of his fans and critics voiced their objections to him saying that "slavery was a choice," West later attempted to explain that his comment was in reference to the mental slavery that exists.

A portion of West's interview that has not been highlighted much by the media was when he talked to Levin about his belief in God and the notion that love can conquer all.

"Free love, it's the spirit," West explained to Levin when asked what is the root of everything the "Jesus Walk" emcee is trying to express. "If I say I love Dr. Jan Adams that performed my mother's final surgery, people don't accept forgiveness and love."

West's mother died after having cosmetic surgery in 2007, which was performed by Adams.

Levin admittedly said he doesn't believes people can love everyone. To which West looked at Levin and asked, "But does God want you to love everyone? Do you believe in God?"

Levin, a television producer, lawyer, and celebrity reporter told West that although he does believe, he does not know where that form of love comes from.

"If you start thinking about love and start feeling love and thinking about forgiveness, then you can overcome things," West said. "I think love conquers all. I know from the bottom of my soul, of my gut, of my spirit and my subconscious that love is the strongest force in the universe and right now we need love."

He went on say that people need to see a moment where North Korea and South Korea can come together.

The entertainer concluded the interview by declaring once again that love conquers all and he is standing up for free thought but mostly, free love.
