NEWS Justin Beiber Shares Bible Verse And Advises Fans to Stay Close to God

Justin Bieber, who is currently on his “Purpose” tour, frequently discusses his Christian faith and shares how his relationship with God has changed his life. While he was famously baptized by Hillsong Church pastor Carl Lentz in 2014, prior to his conversion, the singer made headlines for his bad behavior, including excessive drug and alcohol use.

However, during an interview with Complex magazine last year, the singer stated: “I just wanna honestly live like Jesus. Not be Jesus…I don’t want that to come across weird. He created a pretty awesome template of how to love people and how to be gracious and kind.”

He also warned fans against idolizing celebrities such as himself instead of the One who truly deserves praise. He said”I would really suggest to people, ‘Don’t put your faith in me,'” he told The Mirror. “Because I’m gonna disappoint you every time. Yeah. It’s scary. But I want them to know that I’m not going to be able to solve their problems…

I’m not that higher power. I’ll never be. I’m not perfect. I’ve made so many mistakes. I just want to get to a place where… I just want people to know humans aren’t meant to be worshiped. We’re just not. So when a human is being worshiped, this is dangerous. ‘Cause it does nothing but give you pride.”

Earlier this year, Bieber encouraged his 64.3 million Instagram followers to be close to God and  includes two Bible verses from Psalms and 1 Corinthians. -Psalm 112:7; 1 Corinthians 13:11 “Worship Me only. Whatever occupies your mind the most becomes your god. Worries, if indulged, develop into idols. Anxiety gains a life of its own, parasitically infesting your mind. Break free from this bondage by affirming your trust in Me and refreshing yourself in My presence. What goes on in your mind is invisible, undetectable to other people. But I read your thoughts continually, searching for evidence of trust in Me, I rejoice when your mind turns towards Me. Guard your thoughts diligently; good thought-choices will keep you close to Me. Psalm 112:7; 1 Corinthians 13:11.”
