Can't Take Anymore? Seven (7) Perfect Scriptures to Combat Your Overwhelming Feelings of Frustration

Sometimes, the trials and troubles of life can drive us to insanity. We want to postpone our purpose, or just give up all together.

We’ve all had moments where it seems as though we’ve been working towards a dead end. But the Word of God is always there to put you back in your right mind, even when you feel like this:

I can’t take it anymore. Sometimes, a project just won’t work out, or the results refuse take shape the way you want them to. But, despite the difficulty of bringing your God-given vision to life, don’t let frustration kill the dream in its beginning stages. Remember Philippians 4:13(NKJV), which says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” You can’t take italone, but with the Lord on your side, you can accomplish this and so much more.

I can’t stand them anymore.
Many a time, people are the source of our frustration. Certain co-workers would love to see you boil and some family members (who shall remain unnamed) have an inborn talent for trying your patience. However, don’t let the negative emotions overtake you, “for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God” according to James 1:20 (ESV). God does not get the glory when you, His meek and loving servant, serve people sass with a side of nastiness.

It’s not worth it.
Sometimes it feels like you’re running a long race with no finish line in sight. You’ve worked so hard and so long, and yet, you still don’t see your dream being fulfilled. Galatians 6:9 says, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Don’t give up, a harvest is coming. Your blessing may not be in season yet, but believe that it will sprout up at the right time.

I feel so alone.
The Lord’s words that I give you now are straight from Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” You are not alone! You have a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1), so pray when the going gets tough, rather than becoming frustrated. God is a strong presence in our lives in times of distress. He is the sole source of our comfort and strength.

The world is against me!
1 John 5:4 (ESV) reads, “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” Realize that when God is for you, every obstacle you face in life has already been removed and every battle you fight has already been won. It is our faith that Christ has already overcome the world that lets us know we are predestined for victory. Before you receive it, however, you must be able to see it!

Don’t let frustration rule you. You can do all things through Christ, and the victory is already yours. Push through the disappointment and continue along the path that God has paved for you. Realize that detours are not dead-ends, and what God has started, He will finish.

Frustration is no match for faith.
