Fashion For a Cause: CeCe Winans Teams With Talbots And O Magazine to Empower Women in Need

As if you need another reason to fall in love with CeCe Winans, here’s one anyway: the 10-time GRAMMY® winner is using her influence to promote fashion for a cause.

The “Never Have To Be Alone” singer is rocking O, The Oprah Magazine Collection for Talbots, not just because it looks good, but to boost sales for the clothing line that donates a portion of its proceeds to Dress for Success.

“I love Dress for Success!” tweeted the gospel recording artist, with an accompanying photograph of herself wearing the striped shell and polka dot cardigan, two separate pieces from the limited-edition classic capsule collection for spring.

30% of the net proceeds will go toward helping Dress for Success, the non-profit organization that started in 1997 in the basement of a Manhattan church. Today, what began as a single suitdonations program, is a global service organization that outfits women with clothes, skills and resources needed to acquire and maintain gainful employment.

“Such a great organization that provides tools, support and attire for women,” said Winans, whose brand new album, Let Them Fall In Love, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart.

With all that charitable giving, it’s no wonder Winans is so blessed.

Luke 6:38 NLT says, “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full--pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back."

Last year, Talbots’ campaign collected over 4,00 boxes of clothing, raised more than $1 million for Dress for Success and assisted more than 20,000 women in need, so they were able to feel and look their best under difficult circumstances.

If you're interested in helping out, you can achieve that in more ways than one.

In addition to shopping the collection, you can also give back by donating gently worn work attire from March 2 – March 5 at your local Talbots, or by making a monetary donation in store or online here.
