Congratulations!!! Gospel Singer Tasha Cobbs Weds Musical Director Kenneth Leonard in Private Ceremony

Congratulations are in order for GRAMMY® winning gospel recording artist Tasha Cobbs, who is a married woman now.

Kenneth Leonard, the musical director for the “Put A Praise On It” singer has put a ring on it. The two celebrated their nuptials in a private ceremony Friday, March 3, 2017.

The 35-year-old publicly announced the happy news on Instagram by posting a smiling photo next to her groom, where the newlywed pair flashed their wedding bands.

The caption simply said, “Mrs. Leonard,” with a diamond ring emoji.

Instantly, congratulatory messages poured out from supporters, many of which were in shock since those outside of the new Mrs. Leonard’s close circle of friends, family and ministry network were unaware that she was planning to wed.

The notoriously private Tasha Cobbs Ministries founder played coy about her relationship last year during an interview on The Yolanda Adams Morning Show. When co-hosts attempted to get the Jesup, Georgia native to open up about her significant other, she said, “Well, I don’t believe in putting no names out there.”

As the interviewers pressed, Tasha said, "when he put a ring on it,” then she would “put a name on it.”

Now everyone knows his name.

The glowing bride beamed in photos with Kenneth, also musical director at his local church, Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC. His pastor, Bishop-Designate Bryan Pierce, officiated.

Elite and powerhouse couples attended the intimate gathering: Bishop I.V. and Pastor Bridget Hilliard of New Light Christian Center Church; Bishop William and Pastor Danielle Murphy of Tasha's home church, The dReam Center of Atlanta;  and Bishop Paul Morton of Changing A Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church and Pastor Debra Morton of Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church.

Gospel artists Kierra Sheard and Isaac Carree, dear friends of the songstress, lent their musical talents to the celebration.

The couple indulged in their first kiss as husband and wife after their marriage pronouncement by the officiant, while attendees cheered loudly.

“Kenny and Tasha, you are no longer two individuals, but one person,” said Bishop-Designate Pierce. He added, “And what God has joined together, let no man separate.”

Cobbs-Leonard, who lost her father Bishop Fritz Cobbs in January 2014, enjoyed her heart-warming first dance with  her pastor, Bishop Murphy.

Congrats to the happy couple!
